Downtime

Life never happens when you’re asleep.
It’s in the daydream of a core memory.
The establishing shot was a pocket of light in the house’s eyes in the evening.
Inside, your sat in a chair and your eyes are gleaming.
We laugh between the words of a song in a foreign language.
It’s soft and still in that we stay in love, in paced frequency.
Peacefully, it’s as though your eyes were pleading, encapsulated in the feeling.
My gaze, my figure never untouched by beckoning.
You welcome me.
The only kind of silence that should be had exists where all is understood and we speak volumes
In between a syncopated breath
Where your hand supports me and rests secure on my skin.
There is never a fleeting moment.
